What will it bring?

First, let’s look back to the Spring Equinox. You can see the planets bunched up on the eastern side of the chart and most of them below the horizon. The chart ruler is Mars, unhappy in Gemini but strong in its eighth house. Mars is separating from a square to Neptune and the Moon will be applying to a square also just after it makes a conjunction to Neptune. The Moon is in Pisces with little dignity (triplicity and by house), so the people (shown by the Moon) are weak, and heading for a square of Mars, angry and restless, but cannot do much. I feel this chart still shows the fall-out from the virus and the collective exhaustion and debility we all feel, having had a long, cold and wet winter. The people are tired (Moon to Neptune). And what of our rulers? Shown by the ruler of the 10th house of Kings and Government, the Sun is strong in Aries. The first aspect the Sun makes is a conjunction to Mercury. Aries shows new beginnings, I believe this is the new King and (perhaps) a new era. The coronation was on 6th May, 16 days after the equinox, that is, when the Sun went to conjunct Jupiter (the great benefic) seems auspicious for such a public event. The Sun traveled over Chiron two days before, we can only speculate what things were going on behind the scenes, as Chiron is the wound, it may well have been something to do with Harry, the King’s son, a painful episode doubtless.
The Sun also shows the government, the Sun Chiron may show the continued trouble with ex-Prime Minister and now ex-MP Johnson who resigned 53 days after the Equinox. Uranus is 46′ away from the Sun so we could see his decision to leave Parliament may have been made a week before it was announced. It is likely there were whispers about the content of the damaging report long before the press got to hear of it.
What does the Solstice chart show us?

Again, the chart ruler is Mars, but this time it is a dignified Mars in Leo in the 10th widely conjunct the MC along with Lilith and Venus and the Moon. Another clump of planets, this time at the top of the chart. How is the government in this chart? The Sun rules the MC and it weak in Cancer skulking in the 8th house, along with a chatty Mercury in Gemini. The first aspect the Sun makes is a trine to Saturn also weak in Pisces in the fourth house. Saturn in Pisces is pretty depressing and shows disappointments and sadness. So maybe the government will suffer some kind of defeat or setback.
Then the Sun makes a sextile to Jupiter in Taurus, is the government going to try and spend its way out of trouble? Taurus rules money, Jupiter rules the 5th of gambling and the intercepted second house of money. But neither planet has much dignity so even if money is spent, it have little effect on their fortunes.
Mars, the chart ruler is applying to a trine of Chiron in Aries in the 6th, is this the striking nurses and doctors, teachers and other employees of the government (the 6th rules health and employees)? Perhaps. Although it is a trine, Mars Chiron contacts are bad tempered and aggressive, more powerful than a weak Sun. Notice Mars is just separating from a sextile of Mercury, words have been exchanged, maybe their case has been made eloquently (Mercury strong in Gemini) but then the pain (Chiron) comes.
What of the people? They are shown by the Moon in Leo, applying to the MC. The people are going to the government- could there be an election? there will be by-elections as several MPs have left the commons, perhaps this is what is showing, we can hope it is not the people actually trying to topple the government as they did in the USA, this is unlikely. Moon in Leo believes it has power, but the planet and the sign are incompatible, the strength is illusory, a classic ‘too big for their boots’ position. But the people are moving towards the government, they want power, even though they are incapable of handling it. After conjuncting the MC, the Moon makes a conjunction with Venus, also weak in Leo. Venus rules the 12th house of self-undoing and the seventh house of relationships and open enemies. What could this signify? Trouble of some description. Venus like the Moon wants to shine and take control (Leo, 10th house) but she also does not have the strength to do so, she shines but it is not real gold. The final aspect the Moon makes before it leaves the sign is a square to Uranus in Taurus in the seventh. I hope this all means there will be an election and that the government will be overturned, but this may be wishful thinking on my behalf. Uranus rules surprises, sometimes pleasant sometimes shocking, a defeat for the government wouldn’t be a shock, but perhaps the scale of the defeat would be.
I feel all the planets in Leo at the top of the chart show a lot of energy around how we are ruled and governed, both positive energy (Mars) and weak or misguided energy (Moon, Venus). Coupled with a weak Sun this indicates we may be in for a hectic three months!
Let me know what you think.
