On Monday (June 14th at 22:01 GMT) is the second of the Uranus, Saturn Squares, Saturn retrograding back to 13’ Aquarius. This time the Moon is involved, making a square to Uranus and an opposition to Saturn.

This will coincide with the ending of the G7 meeting in Cornwall. The G7, along with the United Nations, various American Presidents, the Royal House of Windsor, the Rothschild Family and others have been described as part of the Illuminati which aims to, or is (according to the source) dominating world affairs and attempting to enslave humnkind. The Moon in Mundane Astrology rules the people, so a conspiracy theorist might conclude this aspect is showing how our rulers (Saturn) are attempting to restrict and control (Saturn) the people (Moon) through technology (Uranus) and particualrly the virus.
I don’t have strong opinions on either side, but I do know my network is fiercely divided between those for and against the lockdowns and the vax and I do know that freedom of speech has been severely curtailed during the pandemic, to the extent I wondered if adding the v-word to this blog would get it blocked. We shall see.
One of the arch proponents of the Illuminati is David Icke. I always thought he was the deluded advocate of ‘people as reptiles’ controlling the world. I was intruiged to find he too has this configuration in his horoscope. Saturn, Neptune in Libra square Moon Uranus in Cancer opposite Mercury in Aries (in major aspects like T Squares, the orb of 9’ is allowed between the planets of the lowest and highest degrees, Neptune at 19’ Libra is within the orb for Mercury at 13’ and Moon Uranus at 10’ and 13’ degrees respectively, although it is wide for a conjunction with Saturn, it is included in the T Square.)
Saturn, exalted in Libra gives great intelligence, it is the classic placement of the scientist or researcher, with Neptune there there is a possiblity of refined spiritual enquiry and equally for delusion and fantasy. They are opposite a quick thinking, hasty, speaking before thinking, Mercury in Aries, both square a soulful, tender Moon in Cancer which is conjunct a radical, disruptive Uranus. The T Square lies in cadent houses, the sixth, ninth and twelfth. The ninth house of course deals with philosophy, spirituality and far flung places, perhaps in Icke’s case, other parallel universes. The twelfth house represents the collective unconscious, the house of karma and traditionally, self undoing.

David Icke began life as a professional footballer but was forced to retire at 21 due to crippling arthritis (transiting Chiron was conjunct his sixth house Mercury). He later became a BBC sports commentator. His illness made him seek out psychic Betty Shine, who he met with four times. On one occasion, 29 March 1990, Shine told Icke he had come to heal the world and he would become both famous and notorious and that Spirit would communicate messages to him to share with humanity. On that day Chiron was conjunct his Uranus at 10’ Cancer giving him a radical (Uranus) spiritual message (9th house), Neptune was opposing his Moon at 14’Capricorn and this was the year of his Uranus half return (Uranus was at 9’ Capricorn) a classic time to ‘find yourself’ and re-orientate your life to its original purpose. Two of the planets of the T Square were activated on that day. When this happens, all the planets connected in a major aspect will be triggered.
In February 1991 Icke visited a pre-Inca burial site in Sillustani Peru and had what he described as a Kundalini awakening, where his chakras were opened to a higher level of consciousness. Neptune and Uranus were opposing his ninth houses Moon (15’ and 11’ Capricorn respectively) and Jupiter was conjunct his Midheaven at 6’ Leo. This does suggest he had a sudden, shocking (Uranus) spiritual experience (Neptune) overseas (9th house) which he then later used in his career (Jupiter conjunct MC).
In May of 1991, Icke appeared on the popular Wogan talk show and was humiliated by Wogan and the audience who laughed at his beliefs. Jupiter was still conjunct his MC but Saturn at 6’ Aquarius was opposing it, producing both a baleful experience and a point of no return. Icke later described the experience,
‘One of my very greatest fears as a child was being ridiculed in public. And there it was coming true. As a television presenter, I’d been respected. People come up to you in the street and shake your hand and talk to you in a respectful way. And suddenly, overnight, this was transformed into “Icke’s a nutter.” I couldn’t walk down any street in Britain without being laughed at. It was a nightmare. My children were devastated because their dad was a figure of ridicule. (Jon Ronson, The Guardian, Beset by Lizards.17.3.2001).
This was the turning point for Icke, he was now unemployable as a broadcaster. Uranus was exactly opposite his Moon at 13’Capricorn, showing a split (Uranus) from the establishment (Capricorn).
Icke published his first book, The Truth Vibrations that same year in which he set out his spiritual beliefs. He wrote the universe is made up of vibrational energy and consists of an infinite number of dimensions that share the same space, just like television and radio frequencies, and that some people can tune their consciousness to other wavelengths.
‘Our five senses can access only a tiny frequency range, like a radio tuned to one station. In the space you are occupying now are all the radio and television stations broadcasting to your area. You can’t see them and they can’t see each other because they are on different wavelengths. But move your radio dial and suddenly there they are, one after the other. It is the same with the reality we experience here as “life”. What we call the “world” and the “universe” is only one frequency range in an infinite number sharing the same space.’ (Guardian 17 Feb 2006. Paul Doyle.)
This, to me is a lovely example of Saturn, Neptune in Libra, both the analytical and the mystical, it is such a clear image of how he sees things.
Icke believes that time is an illusion; there is no past, or future, and only the ‘infinite now’ is real, and that humans are an aspect of consciousness, or infinite awareness, which he describes as ‘all that there is, has been, and ever can be’. Again, Saturn (time) is an illusion (Neptune) he really is speaking his chart.
There is nothing radical here. His beliefs accord with many esoteric teachings. However, in Robots Rebellion (1994) when Icke talks about the Protocols of Zion (an anti-Semitic text probably written by Russian agents in the 1920s) and argues there is an Illuminati which controls the world and they are sigh…reptiles, he loses me completely. Icke lists members of the Illuminati including the Rothchild family (along with the house of Windsor and several American Presidents). The Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam and Christianity) are all ruled by Saturn, and it can be argued Icke’s twelfth house Saturn has been his undoing. Because he has been tarred with the brush of antisemitism his other beliefs have been discredited in the mainstream. Icke argues he is neither an anti-Semite nor a racist, but that he is an anti-Zionist.
Icke is both incredibly popular, more so now due to the viral plague, and demonised by anti-racist campaigners. Predictably, he has found supporters among fascists in the UK and US (for his supposed anti-Semitism) and the left wing spiritual movements that have coalesced in response to compulsory vaccination, mask wearing, lockdowns and the massive transfer of wealth to the uber rich in the past year. Icke is the part of the zeitgeist that Uranus Saturn represents, namely the exposure and assault on the corrupt status quo (politicians, big business, religious leaders) and a call for freedom for women, black people, Palestinians, LGBTQ and all peoples of any religion, to love and live and worship in peace and prosperity. Triggered, these separate movements have brought hundreds of thousands of people into the streets all over the world in this past year.
So what of the reptiles? Within Ancient Greek religion there are a superabundance of snakes, and dragons who are nurtured, fed and cosseted by priestesses and goddesses. Arguably, they were deemed benign until patriarchal Zeus and his men set about killing them. Apollo killed the Python at Delphi, Heracles killed the Lernaean Hydra, Perseus killed the snaky Gorgon. Men and male gods busy killing reptiles. Does this connect to Icke’s reptiles? Icke sees them as a demonic force sucking the life out of us humans, which, incidentally, is how Zeus, Apollo and co saw them. And of course, Christians saw the snake as evil, tempting Eve, who became the personification of all wickedness -women themselves. Snakes in astrology are traditionally given to both Mercury for being wise and quick and Saturn for crocodiles, serpents and venomous creatures like scorpions, again picking up Icke’s T Square.
I don’t think Icke is a misogynist, but I wonder how the beloved serpent, symbol of life, wisdom, fertility and above all, women, became so wicked. Is it female wisdom or nurture and care of nature and the protection of all living creatures that is anathema? For sure, we can see the forces of progress lining up against the establishment, who are for the most part old white men who have controlled the world up till now. They are currently destroying nature and all others who do not fit into their tiny clique. In this sense Icke is right, there are dark forces in our world, but reptiles? I think not.
